Trailer Round-Up: THE BELKO EXPERIMENT, THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, and WAR OF THE PLANET OF THE APES!

Egads! 2016 has been an awful year overall Vault Dwellers! So many beloved celebrities have passed away, we had (quite possibly) the most insane Presidential election in U.S. history, and the bulk of the films pouring out of Hollywood were mostly crap! But as we head towards an uncertain future in this nation, I have some hope that 2017 will, at the very least, present us with a surge in high quality theatrical entertainment. Let's take a look at some of the Blockbusters heading our way next year!

TRAILER #1: THE BELKO EXPERIMENT
Release Date: March 17, 2017

From the twisted mind of James Gunn comes this all new dark comedy / thriller! Eighty American employees of the "non profit" Belko Corporation, are locked down in a high-rise in Bogota, Colombia. They are trapped within the building, and must murder each other to move on to the next "round." If they do not play ball with the mysterious voice on the loudspeaker, they will be killed by the explosives that are implanted in the back of their heads. It's BATTLE ROYALE: CUBICLE EDITION - Who will survive, and what will be left of them?!

TRAILER #2: THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS
Release Date: April 14, 2017

I lost interest in this franchise after just one movie... and then somehow managed to get sucked back in and love it after the three latest installments. While I admit that the title of this FAST AND THE FURIOUS sequel is kind of goofy, the movie looks pretty fun! For some reason, Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto turns against his friends and bends to the whims of a new blonde villainess. (Can't blame him since she is played by Charlize Theron.) Now all the characters from previous entries will band together (and team up with former baddie Jason Statham) to take down Dominic! Count me in on this one!

TRAILER #3: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2
Release Date: May 5, 2017

James Gunn, and Vin Diesel, make the list again with next Summer's most anticipated film: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 2! Our favorite gang of Marvel misfits is back to take on an all new threat (Ego, the Living Planet if rumors are true) while trying to figure out who Peter Quill's father is! Baby Groot is guaranteed to steal the show here, Michael Rooker's Yondu is sportin' a new mohawk, and a new character named Mantis joins the team. This looks like it is going to be a blast, and another huge win for the Marvel/Disney juggernaut! Hurry up and get here May, because I need this in my eyeballs ASAP!

TRAILER #4: SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING
Release Date: July 7, 2017

Having just gone toe-to-toe with Captain America and Ant-Man during the MCU Civil War, Peter Parker tries desperately to balance his normal life with his superheroics. With a little help from Tony Stark, the young Webhead goes into battle against The Vulture, Shocker, The Tinkerer, and possibly even more members of the eventual Sinister Six! I think that the Sony/Marvel team-up on this film is going to work out well, and I for one cannot wait to see this flick next Summer! Scope out the international trailer below (because the official U.S. trailer is garbage), and get excited Marvel fans! Excelsior!

TRAILER #5: WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES
Release Date: July 14, 2017

I have been eagerly awaiting the trailer for this sequel to the successfully rebooted PLANET OF THE APES series, and I was not disappointed. The war that is touched-off at the end of DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES reaches a critical boiling point as humanity chases after and tries to wipe out Caesar's tribe of intelligent primates. The bad guys are led by Woody Harrelson, and seem to come up against a combined force of apes and humans in a climactic battle to prove which side will become the rulers of post-pandemic Earth! Damn this looks good!

That's all I've got for you this time Vault Dwellers, but check back again soon for more trailers, news, and more, right here at The B-Movie News Vault!
