WELCOME TO HUDSON HORROR SHOW XV B*TCH! Poughkeepsie's bi-annual Horror and Exploitation film fest returns in May 2017!

ON SATURDAY, MAY 20TH, HUDSON HORROR SHOW RETURNS TO ITS OLD STOMPING GROUNDS FOR TWELVE HOURS OF 35MM MADNESS!

Just when you think that Chris Alo and friends cannot top the lineups of previous Hudson Horror events, they up the ante yet again! Gaze in wide wonder at the killer lineup of films being screened in 35mm at Hudson Horror Show XV, save the date, and snap up tickets as soon as they go on sale, because this event WILL SELL OUT! For more details on the films and tickets, read the official press release below and get excited!

"Welcome to prime-time bitches, it's Hudson Horror Show #15! It’s been a long time coming, but our next show is locked and loaded and will take place on Saturday May 20th, 2017 at our home, the South Hills Cinema 8 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Tickets are just $38.00 in advance (only available at www.hudsonhorror.com), and will go on sale at approximately 10AM on this Sunday, February 26th. So what are we showing?? You wanna know, don’t you?

We’ll start off with not one but TWO MYSTERY MOVIES!! One is actually a MYSTERY MOVIE and the other is a MYSTERY HORROR MOVIE. (See what we did there?) No real clues yet, but let’s just say that even though one of them isn’t a horror movie, that doesn’t mean it’s not incredibly bloody and violent!

Our buds at the world’s best home video label Vinegar Syndrome are proud to present a rare 35mm screening of SLAUGHTERHOUSE! This late 80’s slasher is grimy and gruesome, but still so much fun. Just missing the slasher craze by a few years, if you’ve never seen this flick before, now is your chance to see it on the big screen.

The maniacal Jordan G from The B-Movie Film Vault is out of the asylum once again, and this time is sponsoring a 30th anniversary screening of THE HIDDEN! This sci-fi horror cult classic is a true roller coaster ride and only Jordan is crazy enough to bring it to you!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, you still get nibbled to death by the frenzy that is PIRANHA! Joe Dante’s 1978 classic is one of the most requested titles by you, the Hudson Horror audience. With a cast that includes Kevin McCarthy, Barbara Steele and that guy Dick Miller, PIRANHA is a movie that you will just eat up!

Lastly, but not least, we are equally looking forward to a 30th anniversary screening of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS! One of the most popular entries in the famed franchise, we’ll be laughing along to Freddy’s dated puns almost as much as we are rockin’ to Dokken!

As usual, lobbies at the theater will be packed to the gills with vendors selling t-shirts, DVDs, Blu-rays, toys, posters and so much more. Interested in being a vendor? Got a question? Send an email chris@hudsonhorror.com. Tickets are not needed to shop the vendor’s area, but you WILL need a ticket to watch the movies. And yeah, you will need to decide before purchasing your tickets which screening room you want to sit in (Theater #1 or Theater #6). Both rooms get the same movies, just in a slightly different order.

Again, tickets go on sale at 10AM this Sunday February 26th at www.hudsonhorror.com. Get them before they are gone! And we’ll see you on May 20th in Poughkeepsie for Hudson Horror Show #15!"

LIONSGATE'S VESTRON COLLECTOR'S SERIES GIVES TIBOR TAKACS' CLASSIC "THE GATE," THE ROYAL TREATMENT ON BLU-RAY!

Honestly gang, I've never seen this one, but have always wanted to scope it out because I am a sucker for anthology flicks! The expendable income is low at the moment, so I'll have to wait for another kick-ass sale from Scream Factory to pick this bad boy up! But don't let that stop you!

Synopsis: Your favorite nightmares come to life in a horror/fantasy salute to the age-old bedtime story ritual. Travel on a mysterious journey to a medieval world populated by blood-crazed witches, evil experiments and captive maidens.

Then from the catacombs and dark caverns of medieval Europe you plunge into modern suburbia and the frolicsome adventures of a nubile lady jogger tracked by a savage werewolf. On February 28th, go A*P*E with Kino Lorber in 3D!

ON FEBRUARY 28TH, SEE TEN TONS OF ANIMAL FURY LEAP ACROSS THE SCREEN (IN STARTLING 3D!), WITH KINO LORBER'S A*P*E BLU-RAY!

A*P*E is a hilariously awful, but I adore it! Featuring bargain basement special effects (which might actually look "better" in 3D), this low-budget Kong rip-off features a cheap gorilla costume, terrible miniatures, and the gut-bustingly funny desecration of a dead shark! It must be seen to be believed! (Man I wish I had a 3D TV so I could enjoy this in its intended format!)

Synopsis: A freighter peacefully glides the still waters of a soft Pacific night; their cargo: a recently captured 36-foot ape. A giant fist comes up through the deck sending the sailors sprawling and in a matter of seconds, the A*P*E (Attacking Primate monster) is loose!

The mighty A*P*E defies the JAWS of the Great White Shark, and then wades ashore and explores the Korean mainland. Meanwhile, American actress (Joanna Kerns, TV’s Growing Pains) arrives in South Korea to appear in a film, at the same time, A*P*E has also arrived and lays waste the city of Inchon and continues his march forward, destroying everything in his path. Paul Leder (I DISMEMBER MAMA) co-wrote and directed this cult classic which also co-stars Hollywood veteran Alex Nicol (THE MAN FROM LARAMIE, THE SCREAMING SKULL)!

Disc Specs:
Rated PG | Color | 87 minutes | Region A
Video - 1080p Widescreen (2.39:1)
Audio - TBA

Extras:
  • 2D and 3D versions of the movie!
  • Audio Commentary by Horror Cinema Historian Chris Alexander.
  • Trailers
A*P*E will be available wherever Blu-ray discs are sold on Tuesday, February 28th and will cost around twenty bucks. Order it today from AMAZON, BULLMOOSE, or DIABOLIK DVD! Also, if you plan on watching this in 3D, make sure that you already have a 3D Blu-ray player and TV!

Another week, another batch of new releases on DVD and Blu-ray Vault Dwellers! While last week boasted a lot of cool stuff, this week is considerably light on worthwhile purchases.

Trailer Round-Up: BLOODRUNNERS, FABRICATED CITY, GHOSTS OF DARKNESS, SLICE OF LIFE, and THE VOID!

It's a new week Vault Dwellers, which means new trailers! This time around, I've got some cool previews to share with you, featuring vampire speakeasies, dueling ghost hunters, Korean gamers turned action stars, a BLADE RUNNER fan film, and an all new Horror flick that was heavily influenced by Lucio Fulci and John Carpenter! Scroll down to start watching!

TRAILER #1: BLOODRUNNERS
Release Date: March 7, 2017 (Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and Digital HD)

Set during tumultuous Prohibition Era America, BLOODRUNNERS features Ice-T as a vampire named Chesterfield that butts heads with Jack Malone, a corrupt cop that shakes down bootleggers and club owners for a "luxury tax." What was just business as usual for Jack turns into a vicious battle between the police and a clan of vampires who are looking to take over the town! For a low-budget film, it looks like they put a lot of effort into it - could be a good time! Check out the trailer below and consider giving BLOODRUNNERS some love when it's released!

TRAILER #2: FABRICATED CITY
Release Date: February 24, 2017 (U.S. limited theatrical release)

Kwon yoo (Ji Chang wook) is unemployed in the real world, but online, he's a respected gamer who can't be beat. But someone clearly has it out for Kwon when he is framed for murder and incarcerated. Now, he must team up with a fellow gamer, and a hacker to find out who framed him, and clear his name! This movie has definitely sparked my interest, as it seems to be partially adapted from Ernest Cline's READY PLAYER ONE. Even if that's not the case, FABRICATED CITY looks like it is going to be a pretty decent action movie!

TRAILER #3: GHOSTS OF DARKNESS
Release Date: March 7, 2017 (Digital HD)

Two paranormal investigators are unexpectedly thrown together in the hope of solving a hundred-year-old mystery. Locked for three nights in a house with a dark and unsettling past, the two investigators must put their differences aside and work together. They soon discover the myths and stories are nothing compared to what actually resides within the eerie walls of Richwood Manor. For once they have stumbled onto the real thing, but this time it’s their own lives at that are at stake. This upcoming release from Uncork'd Entertainment looks pretty polished, and I'm looking forward to giving it a look!

TRAILER #4: SLICE OF LIFE
Release Date: TBA

SLICE OF LIFE hasn't actually been made yet (the filmmakers are gearing up for a Kickstarter campaign, with a goal of completing the movie later this year) so this is actually a fan-made proof-of-concept trailer. Details about the Sci-Fi film are scant, but it will be a short film (unless they get some major backing on their crowdfunding campaign), and it will take place in the BLADE RUNNER universe. Watch the trailer below and prepare to be impressed!

TRAILER #5: THE VOID
Release Date: April 7, 2017

I've been a big fan of Astron-6 ever since I laid eyes on MANBORG (and subsequently FATHER'S DAY and THE EDITOR), so I am extremely excited for this new (and much more serious) Horror offering from Jeremy Gillespie and Steve Kostanski. With currently 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, this upcoming tale of cosmic horror begins when a police officer named Daniel Carter brings an injured man to a hospital late one night. Dan quickly discovers that the patients and staff are mutating into inhuman monstrosities from another dimension, and the only way to escape is to team up with the other survivors in the hospital! This looks super cool and I can't wait to see it in April!

That's it for now Vault Dwellers, but be sure to check back to the News Vault soon for more trailers, news, and updates on upcoming Blu-rays!

Straight Outta Clown World, here's BRBRCK's crazy cool rap theme song for SPACE CLOWN!

Several weeks ago, I noticed a new indie flick called SPACE CLOWN while I was typing up one of my weekly "Stock Your Vault" posts, but I didn't pay it any mind. Mondo Macabro gives SUDDENLY IN THE DARK its Blu-ray debut on February 14th!

MONDO MACABRO INTRODUCES THE WORLD TO THE OBSCURE KOREAN HORROR CLASSIC, "SUDDENLY IN THE DARK" ON VALENTINE'S DAY!

Mondo Macabro has been instrumental in introducing yours truly to some truly batshit insane films like MSYTICS IN BALI and LADY TERMINATOR! And once again, they're doing us fans of international cinematic oddities a solid by giving SUDDENLY IN THE DARK a new lease on life!

Synopsis: A woman's idyllic middle-class life is disrupted when her husband brings home a beautiful young orphan to be their maid. At first she welcomes the pretty girl, in fact seems strangely fixated on her, but soon comes to suspect the girl of having an affair with her husband.

At the same time odd, unexplained incidents - most involving the maid's mysterious wooden doll - begin to make her question her own sanity. Soon it all spirals out of control and the film climaxes in a fever pitch of sexual jealousy, murder, and supernatural vengeance, all set to a pounding synth score.

Almost completely unknown outside its home country, SUDDENLY IN THE DARK is one of the best examples of pre-millennial K-horror. It was made at a time when censorship laws were being liberalized, igniting a boom in horror and erotic films. Elements of both are present here, directed with bizarre flair by Go Yeong-nam in a style often compared to the wilder Italian films of the 70s and 80s.

Not Rated | Color | 100 minutes | Region Free

Audio - Korean LPCM Mono (w/ English subtitles)

Kino Lorber takes you back in time to ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. on February 14th!

SEE RAQUEL WELCH'S FUR-KINI IN STARTLING HD CLARITY IN KINO LORBER'S NEW "ONE MILLION YEARS B.C." BLU-RAY!

I've been a huge fan of Ray Harryhausen ever since I was a little hobgoblin, and ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. features some of my favorite work by the late stop-motion master. Plus it doesn't hurt to see Raquel Welch in a furry bikini! I can't wait to add this to my collection and compare the U.S. and international cuts of the film, which are both included on this release!

Synopsis: In this vivid view of prehistoric life, a man from the vicious Rock People, Tumak (John Richardson, BLACK SUNDAY) is banished from his home, but soon finds himself living among the kind, gentle Shell People. There, he falls in love with the beautiful Loana (Raquel Welch, 100 RIFLES, FUZZ, FATHOM), in the role that made her an international sex symbol and a major star.

The two decide to strike out on their own, living by their wits in a deadly land of treacherous beasts and unknown dangers, leading to a thrilling climax by the edge of an angry volcano. The stunning primeval creatures were created by the legendary special effects wizard Ray Harryhausen (THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS, CLASH OF THE TITANS, et al.).

ONE MILLION YEARS B.C., a true science-fiction classic, was directed by Don Chaffey (JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS) and featured a strong supporting cast that included Martine Beswick (THUNDERBALL), Robert Brown (THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS), Percy Herbert (TOO LATE THE HERO) and Yvonne Horner (PREHISTORIC WOMEN).

Scream Factory brings John Waters' SERIAL MOM to Blu-ray on May 9th!

SCREAM FACTORY RELEASES JOHN WATERS' CULT CLASSIC, "SERIAL MOM," JUST IN TIME FOR MOTHER'S DAY!

SERIAL MOM was my first foray into the cinematic world of John Waters, but I haven't seen it in YEARS! So naturally I am looking forward to revisiting this movie, and what better way than with this upcoming Collector's Edition release from Scream Factory?

Synopsis: If you are ill-mannered, have a poor sense of social etiquette or just plain irresponsible, then beware of the cheerfully psychotic housewife Beverly Sutphin from John Waters’ wickedly hilarious cult classic, SERIAL MOM. She will stop at nothing to rid of anyone failing to live up to her moral code!

Starring Kathleen Turner (ROMANCING THE STONE) as Beverly Sutphin, Sam Waterston (GRACE AND FRANKIE) and Ricki Lake (HAIRSPRAY), writer-director and pop culture icon John Waters puts a twist on the everyday mediocrity of suburban life in this outrageous dark comedy brimming with his unique brand of perverse humor and high camp.

WILD BEASTS ARE HERE..... ON BLU-RAY!

ENJOY THE PCP-FUELED HIJINKS OF FRANCO PROSPERI'S "WILD BEASTS" ON BLU-RAY, COURTESY OF SEVERIN FILMS!

I am a sucker for nature strikes back / nature run amok flicks! JAWS is my favorite film of all time, and I adore all its sequels and knock-offs! And just when I thought I had seen just about every killer animal flick I could find, I stumbled into Franco Prosperi's WILD BEASTS! This movie is crazy as hell, and I'm forever indebted to Severin Films for giving it a legitimate Blu-ray release!

Synopsis: For his final work, "Godfather Of Mondo" Franco E. Prosperi took on the Nature Strikes Back genre and delivered perhaps the most shocking movie of his controversial career! When PCP gets into the water supply of a city zoo, the drug-crazed beasts including tigers, lions, cheetahs, hyenas and elephants (as well as seeing eye dogs and sewer rats) go berserk and rampage through the streets of Rome!

What follows is a terrifying mix of actual animal attacks (supervised by professional circus trainers) and over-the-top 80s Italian gore that remains the greatest eco-revenge shocker in EuroCult history! Lorraine De Selle (CANNIBAL FEROX, HOUSE AT THE EDGE OF THE PARK) and Ugo Bologna (NIGHTMARE CITY) star in this disturbing urban bloodbath!

Disc Specs:
Rated R | Color | 92 minutes | Region A

BLU-RAYS

THE BEACH GIRLS (1982)
It's a nonstop vacation celebration with The Beach Girls, now in HD. The beautiful Sarah heads for the beach to spend a few weeks quietly working on her tan and relaxing peacefully at her Uncle Carl's palatial beach house in Malibu. But when her rowdy girlfriends Ginger and Ducky show up unannounced and ready to party, Uncle Carl's serene beach retreat turns into a loud, rip-roaring celebration that would make even a Roman orgy pale by comparison.

BLACK CANDLES (1982)
It's a stew of satanic sex when Carol and her boyfriend Paul travel to England after the unexpected death of her brother. Once there she finds out her sister-in-law is involved in a secret cult, and Paul might be getting pulled into their lusty web of diabolical destruction. Also known as "Hot Fantasies," this cult film from Euro horror icon Jose Ramon Larraz (VAMPYRES, SYMPTOMS, THE HOUSE THAT VANISHED) will seduce you in luscious HD with all of its shocking, goat-abusing thrills intact!

BLACK GESTAPO (1974)
General Ahmed (ROD PERRY, TV's S.W.A.T) has started an inner-city People's Army to try and relieve the misery of the citizens of Watts. When the locals are put under increasing pressure by Mafia thugs, Ahmed's second-in-command Colonel Kojah (CHARLIE ROBINSON, TV's Night Court, SUGAR HILL) asks for permission to start a protection squad to take more direct action. Ahmed fears this protection squad will just turn into a vigilante mob, and his prediction soon proves correct. Will Ahmed be able to wrest control back from the power-mad Kojah, or will he be the mob's next victim? Throw away all those PD bootlegs, watch this classic from the original camera negatives in HD!

BLOODTHIRSTY BUTCHERS (1970)
Legendary bargain-basement filmmaker Andy Milligan tries (and fails) yet again to pull off a period horror piece, this time applying his trademark touch to the legend of Sweeney Todd. Viewers are thus presented with Victorian England, Milligan style -- replete with thrift shop costumes! As in the oft-told tale, the infamous "Demon Barber of Fleet Street" slashes his customers into cutlets, providing a local baker with yummy filling for his popular meat pies. When their scheme is undone by the lady friend of a recent victim, they eventually turn on each other.

DAY OF THE ANIMALS (1977)
Scientists warn that the depletion of the earth's ozone layer is reaching critical levels, particularly in higher altitudes. How critical? Enough to unleash the vengeful wrath of the entire animal kingdom! No human is safe, particularly a group of nature-loving hikers made up of Leslie Nielsen (THE NAKED GUN, AIRPLANE), Richard Jaeckel (GRIZZLY), Jon Cedar (THE MANITOU), Lynda Day George, PIECES), and their guide (Christopher George, GRIZZLY, MORTUARY). Together, they are constantly menaced by every conceivable mountain-dwelling creature: Dogs, rats, snakes, hawks, owls, mountain lions and bears are out to send a clear message about chlorofluorocarbon abuse.

DEVIL TIMES FIVE (1974)
Five children crawl from the wreckage of a deadly van accident in a snowy canyon. The juvenile survivors (including teen heartthrob Leif Garrett) seek shelter at a secluded mountaintop winter home occupied by a rich businessman (Gene Evans) and his friends (including Sorrell Booke, Boss Hogg from TV's Dukes Of Hazzard and Shelly Morrison of Will & Grace). Soon, strange mishaps occur and the group is stranded without electricity and telephones. One by one, the adults begin to fell prey to a series of shocking and violent deaths!

THE FOREST (1980)
Two couples plan a trip into the forest. But they didn't count on a killer on the loose with a taste for human flesh! Haunted by the ghosts of his children, the killer is eventually double-crossed as the ghosts of his children come to the aid of the campers in this unique entry into the killer-in-the-woods genre. From 70's exploitation director Don Jones (LETHAL PURSUIT, SCHOOLGIRLS IN CHAINS), featuring cult star Gary Kent (SATAN'S SADISTS, THRILL KILLERS), Stafford Morgan (LEGEND OF BIGFOOT) and Corky Pigeon (TV'S Silver Spoons). Now see this slasher classic from a brand new 2k scan!

GIRLY (1969)
Two-time Oscar-winning cinematographer Freddie Francis (Glory, The Elephant Man) steps into the director's chair to tell the bizarre tale of Girly a killer black comedy unlike any other! In a large mansion outside of London, an eccentric family lurks: Girly, a flirtatious schoolgirl with eyes of fire; Sonny, her mischievous brother; Nanny, the house's caretaker; and Mumsy, the family matriarch. This quite unusual family is far more dangerous than you can imagine! Any man who enters the house never comes out, as they are sucked into a blood-curdling game with children! The arrival of a new plaything (Michael Byant, THE RULING CLASS) sends the group into whirlwind, as he intends to survive by any means necessary!

HEADHUNTER (1989)
A voodoo demon from Africa arrives amongst Miami’s Nigerian community and begins decapitating people and possessing others. A tough Miami cop (Wayne Crawford, WHITE GHOST, GOD'S BLOODY ACRE, JAKE SPEED), who recently found out his wife (June Chadwick, FORBIDDEN WORKD, THIS IS SPINAL TAP) has a female lover, investigates the murders with his female partner (Kay Lenz, STRIPPED TO KILL, THE PASSAGE, BREEZY). Steve Kanaly (FLESHBURN, DILLINGER) also stars in this suspense thriller, now in HD!

HOT MOVES (1985)
Before AMERICAN PIE, there was HOT MOVES! When four horny Venice Beach teenagers, led by Barry (Michael Zorek, PRIVATE SCHOOL), make a pact to lose their virginity by the end of Summer, hilarity and madcap humor ensue, as everything they do goes horribly wrong in their quest to go all the way! Also starring Jill Schoelen (POPCORN, THE STEPFATHER, CURSE II: THE BITE, CUTTING CLASS), Deborah Richter (CYBORG), and Penthouse Pet/Scream Queen Monique Gabrielle (DEATHSTALKER II, AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON).

THE JIGSAW MURDERS (1988)
Chad Everett and Yaphet Kotto star in this exciting thriller! Detective DaVonzo (Everett, Medical Center, Fever Pitch) and his young partner Elliott are putting together a murder mystery with the help of a jigsaw puzzle... but will all the pieces fit together in time to save DaVonzo’s daughter (Michelle Johnson, BLAME IT ON RIO, WAXWORK)? Directed by Jag Mundhra (NIGHT EYES, LAST CALL), this riveting thriller will keep you guessing!

A LONG RIDE FROM HELL (1969)
When some badly dubbed bad guys rob a shipment of gold from a railroad company, Mike Sturges (Steve Reeves of Hercules fame) and his brother are framed for the crime. Thrown into the hellish Yuma State Prison, the brothers are forced to work hard labor. The is so intense that Mike's brother ends up dead, nailed to a cross! Mike escapes from prison and goes after the bad guys who framed him, and to also settle the score against the prison gaurd (Nello Pazzafini) who was responsible for his brother's death. It's hot times in Yumatown tonight! The wild west will never be the same as muscles vs. pistols in this action-packed spaghetti western!

LORD SHANGO (1974)
In this atmospheric blaxploitation classic, a wrong Christian mother turns away from her faith to a more ancient religion and summons a tribal priest to avenge her teenage daughter. Rarely seen since its original release, this striking blend of folklore, African traditions, and supernatural menace stars cult icon Marlene Clark (NIGHT OF THE COBRA WOMAN, GANJA AND HESS, ENTER THE DRAGON), and now comes to Blu-ray for the very first time!

THE MAN WITH TWO HEADS (1974)
Dr. William Jekyll (Denis de Marne) is a brilliant scientist whose revolutionary theories on the nature of human evil have earned him derision from the more conservative corners of his profession. The devoted doctor has developed a serum that isolates and identifies the part of the brain that produces violent behavior, and is working on another chemical that will block all antisocial desires, effectively curing evil once and for all. Of course, something goes wrong, and the crusading doctor is transformed into Mr. Blood, a sadistic, lustful creature with grey-green skin and ferocious eyebrows. Jekyll remembers nothing after recovering from his fits of violence, but his sister, fiancee, and the students he teaches all notice that his behavior is becoming very strange. The doctor's evil alter ego begins surfacing uncontrollably and at random, threatening the safety and sanity or his loved ones, as well as Jekyll himself.

MARK OF THE WITCH (1970)
A college co-ed attends a class on the occult and ends up possessed by a 17th-century witch who seduces the girl’s lover (who is also teaching the course). She then goes on a murderous rampage to get revenge on the descendant of the man who persecuted her in this taut 70’s horror movie.

MOONSHINE COUNTY EXPRESS (1976)
Hollywood legend John Saxon (ENTER THE DRAGON, HANDS OF STEEL, BLOOD BEACH) stars in a drive-in classic! Villainous racketeer Starkey (William Conrad, Jake And The Fat Man) has bumped off likable moonshiner Pap Hammer. Now, Starkey must do away with Hammer’s beautiful daughters Dot (Susan Howard, Dallas), Betty (Claudia Jennings, DEATHSPORT, TRUCK STOP WOMEN, GATOR BAIT), and Sissy (Maureen McCormick, The Brady Bunch, TEXAS DETOUR, SKATETOWN U.S.A.). The girls receive unexpected help from Starkey’s flunky, J. B. Johnson (Saxon), who turns out to be more than capable of helping them fight back.

MY TUTOR (1983)
Bobby Chrystal and his friends Billy and Jack are three rambunctious high school seniors looking for love. It seems everything leaves them, well, unfulfilled. Jack is chased out of a whorehouse by a vicious dominatrix, Billy is almost beaten to a pulp after hitting on some female mud wrestlers, and Bobby ends up making his getaway when the girl he's making out with is paid a surprise visit by her motorcycle gang boyfriend. All that cruising leaves little time to study, and Bobby flunks French. His hopes of attending Yale seem lost until shapely, blonde beauty Terry Green is hired to teach him the language of love. Before you know it, verbs turn into urges, and she ends up teaching him more than how to structure a sentence.

THE POM POM GIRLS (1976)
Forget your troubles and swing into action with the beautiful pom pom girls in this fast-paced story about high school seniors enjoying a final fling before graduation. The carefree and scandalous antis of these kids indulging themselves before they enter adulthood is pure spontaneous fun. Will the handsome womanizer Jesse win over radiant pom pom girl Laurie? Will the kids' crazy antics get them in trouble? Will the delectable pom pom girls get their kicks? It's a classic youth-gone-wild pleasure-fest.

SAVAGE ATTRACTION (1983)
Based on a shocking true story! In 1980s Australia, Young runaway Christine (Kerry Mack) is dragged into a whirlpool of psychological terror when she marries a coworker, Walter (Ralph Schicha), who turns out to be a modern-day Nazi. Pregnant and facing life-threatening complications, she's caught up in a wave of crime and deception when she accompanies him to Germany and becomes a hostage in a nightmare from which there may be no escape.

TORTURE DUNGEON (1971)
Cult filmmaker Andy Milligan is best known for extreme, unconvincing gore and the odd habit of making British-set costume dramas on location. This one is a gruesome re-working of TOWER OF LONDON with Jeremy Brooks as the mad Duke of Norwich, who murders and tortures his competitors to the English Throne. The acting is typical of Mulligan's films, which is to say horrid, and the bloody highlights include a pitchfork impalement and rattlesnake torture. Advertisements promised that the film was shot in "dripping blood color," but the tacky school-play costumes and sets do not benefit from this alleged process. You can even see the water tower in the background!

DVDS

ATOR (1982)
Miles O'Keefe stars as Ator in the first of four films featuring the muscle-bound Ator character! In his first adventure, Ator, son of Thorn, is destined to put an end to the dynasty of the Spider! He must rescue his sister from the evil clutches of the High Priest of the Spider (Dakkar). On his way, he learns the secrets of martial arts and befriends Roon (Sabrina Siani), an Amazon thief who joins Ator on the journey to the Temple, along with a baby bear! Together, they conquer danger after danger as they encounter many supernatural villains including witches, dead warriors, and even Ator's own shadows! Their final showdown with the High Priest of the Spider and finally the Spider itself will leave you breathless!

BUTCHER, BAKER, NIGHTMARE MAKER (1982)
The movie tells of bigoted police detective (Bo Svenson, WALKING TALL PART 2) Joe Carlson, whose homophobia leads him to try to frame high school basketball player Billy Lynch (Jimmy McNichol, ESCAPE FROM EL DIABLO) for the murder of a television repairman when he becomes convinced that the killing was the result of a homosexual love triangle. Unbeknownst to the detective, Billy's aunt Cheryl (Susan Tyrrell, FAT CITY) is the real killer; having harbored incestuous fantasies towards Billy for years, his impending graduation has caused long dormant homicidal urges to resurface. Joe's continued plaguing of Billy causes Cheryl to become progressively more unstable, ultimately jeopardizing the lives of everyone around her. Julia Duffy (TV'S NEWHART), and Bill Paxton (FUTURE SHOCK) co-stars. directed by TV great William Asher.

SATAN'S SLAVE (1976)
A young girl (Candace Glendenning, TOWER OF EVIL, FLESH AND BLOOD SHOW) moves in with her uncle Alexander (Michael Gough, BATMAN, BERSERK, KONGA) after her parents' car mysteriously explodes. After being taken in by her cousins, she soon begins suffering strange visions. But what she doesn't know is that her planned role in the house is more sinister than she could have expected. Starring horror icon Michael Gough and Martin Potter (GOODBYE GEMINI) and directed by cult director Norman J. Warren (TERROR, INSEMINOID), Scorpion Releasing proudly presents the complete uncut version for the first time anywhere in the world in its original scope ratio!
