A Plague So Pleasant - Available on DVD September 29th!

"A PLAGUE SO PLEASANT" INFECTS YOUR DVD COLLECTION THIS SEPTEMBER!

As tired as I am of the zombie sub-genre, I'm kind of curious about this one. Shot on a paltry budget of fourteen-hundred dollars, this new indie zombie flick promises a different experience than your typical undead fare.

Film Synopsis: In the near future, zombies have become a protected, endangered species, held in captivity and legally wandering the streets free from harm by the living.

But for the loved ones of those who die, sometimes coping is just too much to handle, especially when not everyone feels the dead have a right to exist, and are willing to break the law to rid the world of this new population of the dead.

A PLAGUE SO PLEASANT will infect home entertainment systems beginning September 29th (originally August 25th). A more dangerous strain than recent efforts, the film has been hailed by undead aficionados as "a miraculous accomplishment" (Zombie Guide Magazine), "an Excellent, Original Zombie Movie" (ZMDB.com), and "so much better than the average straight to video zombie travesty" (The Rotting Zombie).

DVD Specs:
Color and Black & White | 74 minutes | Not Rated | Region 1

Once again, A PLAGUE SO PLEASANT will be released onto DVD on September 29th! You can order yourself a copy now at AMAZON.COM! Check out the trailer below to see if this new micro-budget zombie flick is right for you!

I got back from a much-needed vacation this past Saturday, then the following day, the main B-Movie Film Vault site was shut down by the webhost due to a hack-attack! Celebrate H.P. Lovecraft's 125th Birthday this August at NecronomiCon!

It seems like conventions are popping up everywhere these days, and here is yet another one. However, unlike many of the rest, this one has a really specific, and special purpose: To celebrate the birthday (and the literary works) of Howard Phillips Lovecraft!

In my best Richard Attenborough voice: "Welcome, to NecronomiCon Providence 2015!

From August 20th to the 23rd, join fellow Lovecraft fans at the Biltmore and Omni hotels in downtown Providence, Rhode Island, to celebrate the legendary author's 125th birthday!

About NecronomiCon 2015:
The countdown is on and passes are selling fast for NecronomiCon Providence 2015! With Lovecraft’s hometown of Providence as a backdrop, this four-day event will serve as a tribute to his influential writing, as well as the city’s celebrated culture and history. This year’s convention coincides with the 125th anniversary of Lovecraft’s birth in 1890, and organizers are busy coordinating citywide festivities to commemorate the grand occasion.

H.P. Lovecraft is often considered the father of supernatural horror fiction. Many authors and filmmakers, from Stephen King to Guillermo del Toro, point to Lovecraft as a primary inspiration for their own work. Although there are several Lovecraft events held around the world, only NecronomiCon Providence has the unique distinction of taking place in Lovecraft’s city. “Lovecraft was born here and lived most of his life here. Only visitors to Providence can experience firsthand the narrow streets and fabled architecture that shaped the author’s particular style of storytelling, a unique blend of cosmic horror and science fantasy known as weird fiction,” says Niels Hobbs, director of NecronomiCon.

NecronomiCon Providence 2015 is anticipated to be the largest gathering of H.P. Lovecraft devotees ever assembled, including prominent Lovecraft scholars, celebrated authors, filmmakers, and artists. The festivities officially commence on Lovecraft’s birthday, Thursday, August 20, kicking off four days of panel discussions, walking tours, academic talks, author readings, film screenings, art exhibits, Lovecraftian gaming, specialty merchants, a costume ball, concerts, and other happenings, some of which will be accessible to the general public.

To view the complete schedule and lineup of special guests, and to purchase convention passes via credit card or PayPal, go to necronomicon-providence.com.

Once again, the event kicks off on the weekend of August 20th - 23rd, so request those days off, get your ticket, and revel in the wonderfully bizarre world of HP Lovecraft!
