Our pals at Grey Matter Art are back with an all new officially licensed Marvel print, based upon Joss Whedon's 2012 superhero team-up flick, THE AVENGERS. Created by Marko Manev, this limited edition print prominently features Loki, looming over the silhouettes of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and The Hulk. There are two different versions of this poster: The standard "blue" version, which is limited to 100 and priced at $45, and a lighter-toned variant that is limited to 50, and priced at $50. (Update: The variant is currently out of print! Wow, that was fast!) Scroll down for a closer look!

THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED "VENOM" IS COMING TO THEATERS IN OCTOBER! CHECK OUT THE NEW TEASER POSTER AND TRAILER!
While I was initially worried about VENOM, I feel less anxious knowing that Disney/Marvel is working more closely with Sony on their superhero properties. That means that more effort and attention to detail will go into this big-screen adaptation of Venom: Lethal Protector.
Despite the studio's attempts at secrecy (no official plot synopsis has been released), there have been some leaks and plenty of rumors on the web. Tom Holland's Spider-Man (as seen in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, and the upcoming AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR) will allegedly make an appearance (which makes sense as Spidey plays a crucial role in the comic book mini-series), possibly fighting alongside Venom against a bigger threat.
That threat is most likely Carnage (possibly being played by Woody Harrelson!) and a few other symbiotes (Scream has been confirmed), which makes me wonder if a possible Maximum Carnage offshoot might be coming a few years down the road! I guess we'll just have to wait and see, but for now, give VENOM's teaser poster (squint your eyes at it, and it turns into Venom's face!) and non-revealing teaser trailer, and cross your fingers that they'll do this Marvel anti-hero justice!
VENOM is set for an October 2018 theatrical release - stay tuned for more details!
JAMES GUNN'S HIT SEQUEL PROVIDES AN AWESOME MIX OF ACTION, HUMOR, AND MUSIC! GET IT TODAY ON DVD, BLU-RAY, OR 4K UHD!
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 was (thus far) my favorite film of 2017! It's funny, has some great action sequences and effects, and so many surprisingly heartfelt moments. It's a big step up from the previous installment, and I for one cannot wait to see Marvel's Cosmic Cinematic Universe expand to include more characters! (Also, more James Gunn films please!)
I should also note that this release is the first title that Disney has released on 4K! So it looks like James Gunn's got even more bragging rights now!
Synopsis: Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, the film's
storyline continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer
reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians (Chris Pratt as Peter
Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin
Diesel as the voice of Groot, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket) must fight
to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mystery of
Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and
fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes'
aid as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand!

As August 2017 nears its end, the list of genre titles on DVD and Blu-ray has slimmed down dramatically. This week boasts a lot of TV shows on Blu-ray (e.g. ASH VS. EVIL DEAD, DAREDEVIL, JESSICA JONES, LUCIFER, SUPERGIRL, and THE WALKING DEAD), plus a few cool titles from some of our favorite genre labels.
Shout! Factory gives us a double dose of Lou Ferrigno in HD with their release of HERCULES and THE ADVENTURES OF HERCULES II, Arrow Video delights SOCIETY fans with a gorgeous new limited edition Steelbook, and the American Genre Film Archive gives quasi-snuff thriller EFFECTS some love on Blu-ray!
Also worth noting is Marvel's release of James Gunn's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, VOL. 2. Not only is it out on DVD and Blu-ray, but Marvel also made it their first ever 4K UHD title! (Way to go James!)
There are a handful of other releases this week, so scroll down to scope 'em all out!

Greetings Vault Dwellers and welcome to another edition of our (sometimes weekly) Trailer Round-Ups! This week we take a look at four upcoming films and one NetFlix series that are sure to please! The epic first entry into a Stephen King-penned saga, a superhero team-up, a post-pandemic paranoia thriller, a period piece murder mystery, and alien abductions are all par for the course this time around. Let's watch some trailers, shall we?!
TRAILER #1: THE DARK TOWER Release Date: August 4, 2017
Languishing in pre-production hell for years, Stephen King's THE DARK TOWER is finally coming out! Roughly adapted from book one ("The Gunslinger"), this film follows the exploits of Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), a gunslinger who is the "last of the line of Eld." He is on a quest to track down and kill "The Man in Black" (Matthew McConaughey as an evil wizard, not Johnny Cash), before he can fulfill his dark mission of destroying "The Dark Tower," thus ending all of existence across multiple worlds and universes.
I think it looks cool (really digging the use of Morricone's "60 Seconds to What"), and I for one am ready to give it a chance, especially since it picks up where King's final book left off! The only major question left on my mind now is.... will they introduce "Oy" in this film!
TRAILER #2: THE DEFENDERS Release Date: August 18, 2017
NetFlix wowed Marvel fans with above average adaptations of DAREDEVIL, JESSICA JONES, and LUKE CAGE (and disappointed us all with IRON FIST), and now look to up the ante further with THE DEFENDERS! With "The Hand" growing in power and attempting to take over New York City, four heroes must band together and fight to save the Big Apple! Here's hoping that they improve greatly upon the character off Danny Rand in this series, and maybe even have The Punisher make a guest appearance!
TRAILER #3: IT COMES AT NIGHT Release Date: June 9, 2017
In the wake of some sort of pandemic or extinction-level event, a family living in a secluded woodland sanctuary invite another desperate family to live with them. But there are rules of course, particularly keep the door locked and never go outside at night. Then one night, the main entrance to the house is found wide open, and soon paranoia begins to reign supreme as everyone turns on each other. Is there an actual illness? Or is something more diabolical at work? I guess we'll find out in a month!
TRAILER #4: THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM Release Date: September 1, 2017 (UK), September 7, 2017 (In Germany), U.S. release date TBA.
Bill Nighy stars as Inspector Kildare of Scotland Yard, in this new British Horror tale! Long before Jack the Ripper stalked the streets of London, another nightmarish figure struck fear into the hearts of the British people: The so-called LIMEHOUSE GOLEM. After a series of grisly and unsolved murders, Inspector Kildare arrives to seek out the villain and stop their nocturnal reign of terror! You lucky folks in Europe get to enjoy this in September, but it seems like us 'Muricans may be waiting a bit longer! Dang it!
TRAILER #5: THE RECALL Release Date: June 2, 2017
In classic Horror movie fashion, five friends head to a secluded cabin to party it up for a weekend. But instead of demons, zombies, or other supernatural fiends, they instead encounter alien invaders. These visitors from another planet are none too friendly, but luckily a crazy hunter played by Wesley Snipes was prepare for this very scenario, and shows up to kick some E.T. ass!
That's all I've got for you today Vault Dwellers, but be sure to check back again soon for more trailer and movie news right here at The B-Movie News Vault!
It's been quite a while since I posted a new Trailer Round-Up, so it's high time I get things back on track! Hollywood has been churning out some quality entertainment this year, and it looks like this trend will continue right up until December! Take a few minutes to peep the four trailers below and get excited for films featuring gladiatorial duels (in space!), secret British spy organizations, wisecracking hitmen, and the next chapter of the ongoing STAR WARS saga!
TRAILER #1 - THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD Release Date: August 18, 2017
Ryan Reynolds is a skilled bodyguard that is tasked with protecting the world's most-wanted hitman, portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson. Explosions, violence, death, and hilarity ensue as they struggle to stay alive, and maybe even become friends! In a year crowded with great action films, it'll be curious to see if this particular one holds its own. Scope out the mothaf*ckin' trailer for THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD below!
TRAILER #2 - KINGSMAN 2 - THE GOLDEN CIRCLE Release Date: September 29th, 2017
This sequel to the surprise hit, KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE, has the surviving members of Britain's spy organization teaming up with the American "Statesmen" to battle an all new threat! The trailer doesn't give away too much, but I'm definitely excited to see it later this year!
TRAILER #3 - STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Release Date: December 17, 2017
The next chapter of the STAR WARS saga continues the story of the Rebellion's efforts to defeat The First Order and its Sith leader. If they use the typical trilogy template, this will be a very dark entry into the series. Luke Skywalker appears to train Rey in the ways of The Force (though he seems pretty intent on ending the Jedi gig altogether), Kylo Ren heads further down the path to the Dark Side, and lots of cool space battles ensue!
I was a pretty big fan of THE FORCE AWAKENS (though rather lukewarm towards ROGUE ONE), so I'm eager to see what happens next. I just hope it isn't a lazy retread of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK.
TRAILER #4 - THOR: RAGNAROK Release Date: November 3, 2017
The third entry into Marvel's THOR franchise looks to push further into the cosmic realm of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When the evil goddess Hela (hot, emo Cate Blanchett) destroys Mjolnir and casts Thor out of Asgard, our hero must find a way back in order to prevent Ragnarok. (i.e. The Norse Apocalypse) Thor finds himself stranded on an alien world, where he's forced to battle in a gladiatorial arena for the entertainment of the planet's ruler. But as luck would have it, he also ends up running into an old friend....
That's all I got for you today Vault Dwellers! Make sure you mark all of these cool-looking flicks down on your calendars, and be sure to check back to the News Vault soon for more trailers, Blu-ray news, and more!

Lots of new trailers have popped up on the web recently, for films both great and small. So let's not waste any time and get right into them, shall we?
THE GREEN INFERNO
I was looking forward to this movie LAST YEAR, but apparently there was a falling out between the financiers and the publicity/advertising firm that was supposed to promote the film. Shucks, and here I thought it was because the film was "too extreme," much like the movie it is an homage to, namely CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST! (A film I still haven't watched yet, even though I own the impressive Grindhouse Releasing blu-ray.)
Scope out the trailer for Roth's cannibal epic, where some good-natured activists crash-land in the rainforest and meet the local tribe... FOR DINNER!
The trailer doesn't give too much away, other than you will be shocked by this film. I'll believe it when I see it Eli Roth!
OBSERVANCE
Just got a press release about this one the other day. The story follows a private investigator that loses his son and eventually returns to his job. However, once back to work, he's stuck with the task of observing a woman from the window of a creepy abandoned apartment building. Soon strange things begin to happen around him, making you wonder if he is going mad, or dealing with dark forces living within the building itself.
Observe the trailer below!
The film is making it's premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival next month! I may just check it out after it finally gets distribution here in North America later this year.
MARVEL'S ANT-MAN
Finally, let's look at a big mainstream release trailer for Marvel's ANT-MAN. This is, thus far, the only Marvel feature film that I'm not really looking forward to. I just can't get excited for it... or at least, I couldn't get excited for it. The latest international trailer takes things up a notch, with more new footage that we haven't seen yet.
The film follows former criminal Scott Lang as he turns his life around and becomes the size-shifting hero named ANT-MAN! I think the movie (which is already getting rave reviews) will probably be a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but a lot of wind was taken out of the sails when Edgar Wright (director of "The Cornetto Trilogy") left the project.
Check out the trailer; ignore the Japanese narration!
That's it for today! Check back soon for more trailers, posters, press releases, and DVD/Blu-ray release news!
When I was at Hudson Horror Show back on June 13th (read about that HERE) I came across the table for the owner of Grey Matter Art, and I was wowed by their gorgeous poster designs. (Their FIRST BLOOD and TERMINATOR 2 prints are to die for!) I made sure to hand 'em a card and told them to put me on their mailing list whenever they had new stuff coming out. Well, the time, as you can see, has arrived!
On June 17th, Grey Matter Art released the two beautiful (and officially licensed) CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER posters pictured above. The regular (Cap) and variant (Red Skull) prints are limited to 200 copies apiece and go for $50.00 each. (Or $90 if you buy them together!) CLICK HERE to place an order for these beautiful works of art!
Keep an eye on this company, because their output so far has been outstanding! It's truly great to see someone doing such awesome poster art for the genre films we love!
