I so very much wanted to see this film on the big screen last year, but never made it. I finally did get to see it last week and WOW.... is it amazing! SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE is a dream film for fans of the character, and delivers a great story with an awesome voice-cast, wonderful animation, and a lot of heart! This Spider-Man adventure comes highly recommended Vault Dwellers, and I can't wait to add it to my collection!

Synopsis: When the Kingpin's experimental collider tears the fabric of multiple realities, young Miles Morales crosses paths with Webheads from other dimensions! ROBOT NINJA is Coming to Blu-ray in Late 2018!

TEMPE ENTERTAINMENT IS RELEASING AN "ULTIMATE EDITION" OF J.R. BOOKWALTER'S LONG OUT OF PRINT INDIE SHOCKER!

Talk about a blast from my past! I came across ROBOT NINJA during my early teen years at a VHS liquidation outlet and bought it solely based upon the cover art. While I didn't end up loving it like I had hoped, the movie certainly left an impression on me.

At least fifteen years have passed since I've seen ROBOT NINJA, so you can imagine my surprise after receiving an e-mail touting its impending return to home video! And now, after a relatively successful IndieGoGo campaign, we're getting this film in a 2-Disc Ultimate Edition that features a 2K restoration, lots of extras, and a soundtrack CD! Synopsis: Leonard Miller (Michael Todd - THE DEAD NEXT DOOR, LURKING FEAR) is a frustrated artist. His publisher, his agent... everyone is out to capitalize on the blooming success of Robot Ninja, the greatest costumed superhero since Batman! One night, Miller witnesses the brutal rape and murder of a young couple at the hands of ruthless thugs. He cries out for revenge! With the help of an inventor friend, Dr. Goodknight (Bogdan Pecic - THE DEAD NEXT DOOR, ZOMBIE COP), Miller becomes the Robot Ninja, stalking the dark streets of Ridgway, intent on spilling some blood!

There is no official release date yet for the Ultimate Edition of ROBOT NINJA and more extras may be added as the months tick by. Ant though it is not listed here, I did read that J.R. Bookwalter is also working on creating a cropped 16:9 Widescreen version for non-purists, but I'm not entirely sure if that will be included here, or released separately.

VENOM Finally Teased by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios!

THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED "VENOM" IS COMING TO THEATERS IN OCTOBER! CHECK OUT THE NEW TEASER POSTER AND TRAILER!

While I was initially worried about VENOM, I feel less anxious knowing that Disney/Marvel is working more closely with Sony on their superhero properties. That means that more effort and attention to detail will go into this big-screen adaptation of Venom: Lethal Protector.

Despite the studio's attempts at secrecy (no official plot synopsis has been released), there have been some leaks and plenty of rumors on the web. Tom Holland's Spider-Man (as seen in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, and the upcoming AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR) will allegedly make an appearance (which makes sense as Spidey plays a crucial role in the comic book mini-series), possibly fighting alongside Venom against a bigger threat.

That threat is most likely Carnage (possibly being played by Woody Harrelson!) and a few other symbiotes (Scream has been confirmed), which makes me wonder if a possible Maximum Carnage offshoot might be coming a few years down the road! I guess we'll just have to wait and see, but for now, give VENOM's teaser poster (squint your eyes at it, and it turns into Venom's face!) and non-revealing teaser trailer, and cross your fingers that they'll do this Marvel anti-hero justice!

SURGE OF POWER's Star-Studded Sequel Comes to Select Theaters on January 19th!

CINEMA'S FIRST OPENLY GAY SUPERHERO GETS SEQUALIZED, AND FEATURES A MIND-BOGGLING SUPPORTING CAST!

Over a decade after SURGE OF POWER: THE STUFF OF HEROES was released, its sequel has surfaced and is getting a limited theatrical run. But the most shocking thing about this new indie superhero franchise isn't the fact that its protagonist is a homosexual. No, it's the insane number of celebrities that took part in this production!

Some hail from Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, the never-released FANTASTIC FOUR movie, TV's Incredible Hulk, Gilligan's Island, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and more! At the very least, SURGE OF POWER: REVENGE OF THE SEQUEL has gained my curiosity because no other film on Earth (to my knowledge) features cameos by both "The Soup Nazi" AND Kato Kaelin!

Synopsis: Surge's nemesis, the Metal Master, is out of jail and trying to reconcile with his estranged parents (Blair, Gerard) and tempted to continue a life of crime by Augur (Roberts), archnemesis of the wise Omen (Nichols, Picardo).  Augur sends Metal Master to Las Vegas for mysterious crystals.

Needing more crime fighting help, Surge activates the artificial intelligence in the Surgemobile (Vilanch, Farnon). Augur emerges from the shadows back in Big City, causing Omen to step into the fray, which alerts The Council, a supervillain cabal bent on world domination.  Facing more enemies than ever before, Surge must do whatever it takes to save mankind!

Creator Vincent J. Roth returns to the cape-clad title role of Surge, cinema's first out gay superhero. Roth is joined by a star-studded cast representing the forces of good and evil including Star Trek alums Nichelle Nichols and Robert Picardo, comedian Bruce Vilanch, Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts, THE EXORCIST's Linda Blair, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century star Gil Gerard, and the original Incredible Hulk himself, Lou Ferrigno. Shout! Factory brings Russia's GUARDIANS to the United States!

Ever since I first laid eyes on the trailer for GUARDIANS, I knew I had to see what appears to be Russia's version of the Fantastic Four. The main selling point for me? A werebear! There is a character in this film can turn into a mini-gun toting bear-man! As soon as I saw that, I was sold!
