Vacation time is over and it's back to the grind here at the News Vault! Let's just skip formalities and get right into things then, shall we?
For fans of boxed sets, Scream Factory kicked off their week with an all new UNIVERSAL HORROR COLLECTION VOL.2, which contains MURDERS IN THE ZOO, MAD GHOUL, THE MAD DOCTOR OF MARKET STREET, and THE STRANGE CASE OF DOCTOR RX, and UK's Indicator dropped their (region free!) BLOODY TERROR: THE SHOCKING CINEMA OF NORMAN J. WARREN, which features SATAN'S SLAVE, PREY, TERROR, INSEMINOID, and BLOODY NEW YEAR!
Sony finally brings the superb Michael Keaton thriller PACIFIC HEIGHTS to Blu-ray, while the new HELLBOY, ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, and CRITTERS ATTACK make their DVD and Blu-ray debuts! The Criterion Collection delivered a new Blu-ray of 1984, while Kino Lorber brought DEATH IN THE GARDEN and DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY to Blu-ray disc!
Arrow Video's UK label just released LORDS OF CHAOS, as well as John Hughes immortal SIXTEEN CANDLES to Blu-ray disc, while their U.S. label delivers what very well may be the definitive Blu of WEIRD SCIENCE! (Which is also out in a Limited Edition Steelbook!) This release has tons of newly created extras, and includes THREE versions of the film which makes it a definite must-own in my book!
