Full Specs & Extras for Scream Factory's THE GARBAGE PAIL KIDS MOVIE: COLLECTOR'S EDITION Blu-ray!

SCREAM FACTORY UNLEASHES "THE GARBAGE PAIL KIDS" ON BLU-RAY THIS DECEMBER!

Holy crap! Of all the movies that Scream Factory could have released, this was the last one I had anticipated! THE GARBAGE PAIL KIDS movie is, if memory serves, pretty awful, but dammit, I LOVED this movie when I was a kid, so this is a must have, based on nostalgia alone!

Film Synopsis: When Dodger (Mackenzie Astin) accidentally releases the Kids from their magical trash can prison, all smell breaks loose! Despite their offensive personal habits – and attitude problems – Dodger soon becomes fond of the Kids.

But when Messy Tessie, Foul Phil, Valerie Vomit and the whole misfit crew join his fight against thuggish bullies, their efforts just might land them behind bars at the State Home for the Ugly!

Based on the wildly popular trading cards, THE GARBAGE PAIL KIDS MOVIE stars singer/songwriter Anthony Newley (DOCTOR DOOLITTLE), Mackenzie Astin (IRON WILL, WYATT EARP), Katie Barberi (THE BRONX ZOO). This grossly entertaining cult classic features great makeup effects by John Carl Buechler (TROLL, DOLLS, GHOULIES, FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD).

THE VAULT-CAST: Episode 10 - TERROR RECALL

After a very long hiatus, yours truly and my podcasting cohost "Silent" Steve are back with a new episode! This latest Vault-Cast kicks off with a brief look at the films of Wes Craven (who sadly passed away this year after a prolonged battle with brain cancer), and segues into a fun chat about our earliest horror memories, and various anecdotes about the films (and creatures) that scared us when we were growing up!

Though we are a bit rusty, I think this short podcast came out pretty well! Give it a listen below on YouTube, download it HERE, or listen to it on iTunes! We sincerely hope you enjoy this episode!

Scream Factory Films to kick off with a FENDER BENDER in 2016!

For some time now, Shout! and Scream Factory have been doing fans of genre cinema a real service! They have put so much effort and love into a variety of classic (and obscure) Horror, Sci-Fi, Cult, and Exploitation titles, and they've even begun releasing some titles theatrically. (e.g. BLOODSUCKING BASTARDS)

So it comes as no surprise that they are now looking into creating their own filmmaking label! To kickstart SCREAM FACTORY FILMS, the fledgling production company has chosen their first project: FENDER BENDER.

Written by Mark Pavia (director of THE NIGHT FLIER), this new Horror film is currently in pre-production, with a planned release sometime next year. This is a rather surprising move because Pavia kind of dropped off of everyone's radar after his Stephen King adaptation premiered in 1998. Also, details are pretty scarce about what this film is about, but from the title and hints dropped by Pavia, it seems like it might be a "road trip gone wrong" type of movie.

Both Pavia and the producers that are backing the film are championing FENDER BENDER as a return to classic 80s-style Horror, so it's got my interest. Hopefully I'll find out more soon, so we can all get an idea of what we can expect.

UPDATE (11/13/2015): The studios have confirmed that principal photography on FENDER BENDER began a week ago in Albuquerque, New Mexico!

They also announced the cast, which is made up of Makenzie Vega (THE GOOD WIFE), Dre Davis (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, SCAVENGER KILLERS), Cassidy Freeman (SMALLVILLE, LONGMIRE), Steven Michael Quezada (BREAKING BAD, ELEMENT) and Bill Sage (AMERICAN PSYCHO, WE ARE WHAT WE ARE).

Stay tuned for more news and updates about Mark Pavia's FENDER BENDER!

Scream Factory's THE CAR: Full disc specs & extras!

THE KILLER CAR CLASSIC COME TO BLU-RAY ON DECEMBER 15TH COURTESY OF SCREAM FACTORY!

THE CAR is a personal favorite of mine, and I'm very much looking forward to picking up this release from Scream Factory. The new cover art alone has me excited!

Film synopsis: The peaceful tranquility of a small Western town is disturbed when a murderous car wreaks havoc by viciously mowing down innocent victims. The new sheriff, Wade Parent (James Brolin), may be the only one who can stop this menace in its tracks.

But what Wade Parent doesn't realize is that the driver of this indestructible vehicle is far more dangerous than any man... because it is driven by pure evil.

Directed by Elliot Silverstein, the action-packed thriller stars James Brolin (THE AMITYVILLE HORROR), Kathleen Lloyd (IT LIVES AGAIN), John Marley (DEATHDREAM), Elizabeth Thompson (A SHADOW IN TEH STREET) and Ronny Cox (ROBOCOP). R.G. Armstrong (RACE WITH THE DEVIL, EVILSPEAK), Roy Jenson (SOYLENT GREEN), Melody Thomas Scott (PIRANHA, THE FURY), Kim Richards (ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13) and Kyle Richards (HALLOWEEN) also star in this high-octane thriller.
