Well this is it for the year Vault Dwellers! 2019 is coming to end and because two major holidays fall on the next two Tuesdays, there's next to no new titles coming out. Because of that, this is THE last Stock Your Vault post you will see for a couple of weeks! So let's dive right in shall we?
The AGFA brings WICKED WORLD to Blu-ray for the first time ever, Unearthed Films releases FAMINE to DVD & Blu-ray, and Patrick Lussier's TRICK arrives on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital! Also out today are RAMBO: LAST BLOOD (though I'm dubious as to how "last" it really is) AD ASTRA.
Next week on Christmas Eve, Garagehouse Pictures releases their delayed BLOOD STALKERS Blu-ray and Lionsgate brings the direct-to-video sequel THE GALLOWS: ACT II to DVD and Blu-ray disc. On New Year's Eve, Flicker Alley brings the formerly "lost" noir flick TRAPPED to Blu-ray, and Severin Films releases THE PEANUT BUTTER SOLUTION under their new Severin Kids label.
There's plenty of other new DVDs & Blu-rays coming out in the remaining weeks of 2019 - scroll down to see the full roster!

MAD SCIENTISTS, HOLY WEREWOLVES, SATANISTS, HAUNTED CASTLES, AND MORE AWAIT YOU IN SCREAM FACTORY'S END OF YEAR GRAND FINALE BLU-RAY TITLES!
Egads! Just when I thought that maybe I could get an extended break from posting about upcoming Blu-rays, Scream Factory dumps four new titles on my lap! (Figuratively, not literally... sadly.) Bela Lugosi stars in MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE, where he plays a mad scientist that injects gorilla blood into his victims, SILVER BULLET is an adaptation of Stephen King's novelette Cycle of the Werewolf, and pits Gary Busey and Corey Haim against a vicious lycanthrope, and Christopher Lee leads a Satanic cult in TO THE DEVIL... A DAUGHTER, which seems to be ROSEMARY'S BABY by way of Hammer Horror!
And as if that weren't enough awesome to pack into one week, Scream Factory is also dropping the third volume of their continuing series of UNIVERSAL HORROR COLLECTION boxed sets. Their latest release contains four Universal classics, including TOWER OF LONDON, THE BLACK CAT, HORROR ISLAND, and MAN-MADE MONSTER! All four releases arrive at retailers on Tuesday, December 17th - for the full details please read onward Vault Dwellers!
MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE (1932)
Synopsis: Based (loosely) on the story by Edgar Allan Poe, MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE is a haunting atmospheric thriller heavily influenced by the German Expressionist classic, THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI, and features Bela Lugosi in one of his most sinister roles!

Originally running at 80 minutes, Robert Florey's take on the Edgar Allen Poe tale was heavily edited for content. And since that footage is likely gone forever, at least we still have the hour-long release in HD courtesy of Scream Factory! Speaking of which MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE is available on December 17th and should cost between $18 - $19! You can order a copy now from AMAZON, BULL MOOSE, DIABOLIK DVD, or directly from SHOUT! FACTORY.
SILVER BULLET (1985 - COLLECTOR'S EDITION)
Synopsis: In Stephen King's thrilling adaptation of his novelette, Cycle Of The Werewolf, a peaceful town is suddenly terrorized by a maniacal killer. The townsfolk think a madman is on the loose, but a wheelchair-bound 13-year-old (Corey Haim - THE LOST BOYS) knows the truth ... a werewolf is on the hunt.
With the help of his Uncle Red (Gary Busey - LETHAL WEAPON, THE GINGERDEAD MAN), young Marty Coslaw sets out to stop the half-man/half-beast before he sinks his teeth into another innocent victim. Now, time is ticking ... and the full moon is about to rise.

Already released a ways back by Australia's Umbrella Entertainment, SILVER BULLET finally comes to Region A Blu-ray! This release likely contains the same HD transfer as the Umbrella disc (which makes sense, seeing as how most of the extras have been ported over) but Scream Factory's disc has way better cover art and more extras! Scream's Collector's Edition Blu of SILVER BULLET arrives on December 17th and should cost between $25 - $29! If you're a fan of Stephen King, or just werewolf films in general, order this one now from AMAZON, BULL MOOSE, DIABOLIK DVD, or directly from SHOUT! FACTORY (which will also net you an 18 x 24 poster - while supplies last)!
TO THE DEVIL... A DAUGHTER (1976)
Synopsis: First, ROSEMARY'S BABY. Then, THE EXORCIST. And now a motion picture that probes further into the mysteries of the occult!
A heretic priest (Christopher Lee) plots to use a teenage nun (Nastassja Kinski) in a depraved pact with the forces of darkness. But when an American occult novelist (Richard Widmark) uncovers the conspiracy, he must battle an international cabal of evil for the body and soul of the Devil's child-bride!
Honor Blackman and Denholm Elliott co-star in this notorious shocker directed by Peter Sykes (DEMONS OF THE MIND) and based on the best-selling novel by Dennis Wheatley (THE DEVIL RIDES OUT).

Dino's Angel Takes on Lycanthropy: Martha De Laurentis Remembers SILVER BULLET
Isolated Score Selections and Audio Interview with Composer Jay Chattaway!
Synopsis: After his first appearance in 1912 in an American pulp magazine, Edgar Rice Burroughs’ literary character Tarzan became one of the most significant pop culture characters of the 20th century, and the first quintessential superhero. Published in over 20 novels and translated into more than 50 languages, the story of a feral boy raised by great apes was an immediate sensation, spawning radio shows, newspaper comic strips, graphic novels, multiple TV series and countless movies.
Though the vine-swinging Tarzan proved hugely popular among audiences, he was often met with much controversy and criticism. Despite the many heated debates surrounding Tarzan, the character nonetheless became a versatile vehicle for highlighting important topics including animal cruelty, colonialism, slavery and the current morals of society. Even Tarzan's primitivist "return to nature" philosophy remains relevant today, further illustrating why this legendary figure has endured generations of cultural change and continues to be such a compelling and timeless hero.
From past to present, TARZAN: REVISITED explores the character's extraordinary evolution, giving a detailed overview of how he was first created, behind-the-scenes stories surrounding his innumerable media incarnations, and a fascinating insight into his longevity and legacy in pop culture.

Slowly a conspiracy inside the C.I.A.

After a very long hiatus, yours truly and my podcasting cohost "Silent" Steve are back with a new episode! This latest Vault-Cast kicks off with a brief look at the films of Wes Craven (who sadly passed away this year after a prolonged battle with brain cancer), and segues into a fun chat about our earliest horror memories, and various anecdotes about the films (and creatures) that scared us when we were growing up!
Though we are a bit rusty, I think this short podcast came out pretty well! Give it a listen below on YouTube, download it HERE, or listen to it on iTunes! We sincerely hope you enjoy this episode!
Thanks for listening and have a HAPPY (and safe) HALLOWEEN!
