| Vault Master's Pick of the Week! |
Hey gang! We're almost halfway through December 2019, and this is (more or less) the last big week of new DVD & Blu-ray releases for the year! So start making out your Christmas wish lists because your favorite companies just dropped some amazing new titles!
Severin Films brought VIY to DVD & Blu-ray, Mill Creek Entertainment unleashed ULTRASEVEN to Blu-ray in both standard and steelbook editions, and Massacre Video dropped a double feature of AMERICAN RAMPAGE and DANGER USA.
Quentin Tarantino's ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD debuted this week on all formats, as did IT: CHAPTER TWO, and Kino Lorber flooded the market with lots of new releases this week, including ACES: IRON EAGLE III, BLUE COLLAR, THE NUDE BOMB, STICK, ICEMAN, DOG DAY, TERMINAL VELOCITY, and HITCHCOCK: BRITISH INTERNATIONAL PICTURES COLLECTION!
Despite Kino Lorber's impressive release slate, I personally have to give this week to Scream Factory! Along with their new Blu-rays of THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN OF THE HIMALAYAS (which comes with several audio commentaries and featurettes!), and DR. JEKYLL AND SISTER HYDE, they also dropped an amazing boxed set featuring the entirety of THE FLY saga! From the 1958 original, to the sequel of David Cronenberg's 1986 remake, all five films are included in THE FLY COLLECTION, which is filled to the brim with hours and hours of new and archival extras!
