| Vault Master's Pick of the Week! |
Greetings Vault Dwellers and welcome to September 2019! As Summer fades, this new month kicks things off with a rather light slate of new DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4K UHD discs! But as always, there's a little something for everyone!
Scream Factory's lone release this week is THE WIND: DEMONS OF THE PRAIRIE, Kino Lorber mixes things up with the bizarre DOGTOOTH and classic comedy THE MAN IN THE WHITE SUIT, and the indie Horror-Comedy THE NIGHT SITTER gets a wide release on Blu-ray disc.
For fans of animated fare, there's a smattering of anime titles, plus DC's BATMAN: 80TH ANNIVERSARY 18-FILM COLLECTION, and the super cool SCOOBY-DOO WHERE ARE YOU? - THE COMPLETE SERIES (50TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION) which comes housed in "mystery mansion" packaging!
Image Entertainment drops a cheap ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK Blu-ray which may sate those of you who missed out on the nifty Region B-locked Arrow UK release. But if I were you I would personally hold off as Arrow teased this film's Region A release later this year!
For those of you who have a Region Free Blu-ray player, there's a lot of cool new imports out this week! The UK's 101 Films just released HOWARD THE DUCK as part of their "black label" series, and Cinema Cult (based in Australia) just dropped APRIL FOOL'S DAY (1986), MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981), THE RING (2002), THE RING TWO (2005), and THE TENANT.
Despite all of that cool stuff, my pick of the week is an all new Horror anthology called NIGHTMARE CINEMA, which features Mickey Rourke as a supernatural projectionist that ensnares hapless souls in his haunted (Rialto) theater and forces them to watch five tales of terror on the big screen!
There's not too much else worth mentioning gang, but if you want to see the full roster of this week's new DVD, 4K UHD, and Blu-ray releases, be sure to keep scrolling!
